From the year 2015 IMA offered the types Advantage 320, 400 and 400L in a new edition. With these machines both lippings from the roller as well as solid wood can be affixed through EVA- or water proof PU-adhesive or through laser technology (from October 2015). One new thing is the machine controls ICOS EXPERT with 15" touchscreen control.

Comparison of types

The basic equipment come all in three types with top pressure belts, a gluing unit with 5 reprinting rolls, an infeed fence with veneer stop, 2-motor trimming saw for feed rate from up to zu 20 m/min, the quadruple motor swiveling arm- edge rounding unit SKF and a profiling unit and flat scraping unit.

Important equipment options, which are available for all three models:

Advantage 320

With 5.200 mm length, the type 320 is the shortest of the three-Advantage models. Standardly edges up to 3 mm thickness can be affixed, optionally strip edges up to 8 mm thickness are possible as well. Optionally Pressling units and buffing unit are available.

Advantage 400

These medium-sized edgebanders with an overall length of 5 700 mm is equipped with all units apart from optionally available premising units, which are necessary for the full edge processing. In comparison to Advantage 320, it´s got a radius milling unit for the affixed edges as well as a buffing unit. With it up to 12 mm thick edges can be affixed.

Advantage 400L

The model 400L is a meter longer than the model 400. These complementary space can be equipped with an additional unit. For choice there is a groove milling aggregate and finishing aggregate withball pressure zone. As with the Advantage 400 the maximal edge thickness is 12 mm.
