Jrion Machine Works

Former manufacturer of circular sawing machines based in Riehen/ Switzerland.

The production of circular sawing machines began in the 1930s. At Jrion, at times Jrion & Denz pendulum saw, undercut saw, rip saw manual panel saws and automatic beamsaws were manufactured. The name JRION became well known through its undercut saw and rip saw.

Due to the great demand, it was decided to build a large production plant in Lörrach in the Black Forest region of/ Germany, close to the German-Swiss border. Until 1998 the large part JRION machines were built here.

After the bankruptcy of JRION, the machine manufacturer RAIMANN bought workpieces the company and added the rip saw to its program.

A former employee of JRION founded the company JRIMAC in Allschwil/ Switzerland, which produced solid wood circular saws and also continued the technology of rip rip saw.
