Description

The fence in the infeed area of edgebanders used for an exact positioning of the workpiece on the transport chain.

At first the workpiece is puted to the infeed fence and after that feeded along the fence to the transport chain. So the transport chain and the upper pressure are moving the workpiece directly along the glue application unit edgebander. Many manufacturers offer heated infeed fences. In this preheating zone is the workpiece edge preheated before gluing which helps to improve the durability of the adhesive joint effect.

Adjustable infeed fence

Edgebanders with premilling unit have an adjustable infeed fence. With the help of the adjustment the correct cutting depth of the premilling is setted up. The adjustment can be done manually by a crank handle with mechanical digital counter or by a controled NC-adjustment axis.
