Gluing process in edgebanders

With the help of finely adjustable glue rollers, cold PVA glue is applied as a thin layer to the workpiece edge. In the infrared drying zone, the glue film is withdrawn so much water as is required for quick setting. At the same time, a hot air blower activates the dry glue film on the edge. The combination of both glue films under high pressure in the pneumatic pressure zone results in a high-quality material connection with high mechanical strength.
