Aggregate for smoothing glued plastic edges in edgebanders, developed by the manufacturer IMA.

By apllying high pressure onto a small area plastic edges are smoothed in the ball pressure zone. The aggregate consists of an upper zone for upper side of the edge and a lower zone for the bottom of the edge. Each zone consists of two rows of pneumatic elements. Each of these elements presses onto the workpiece edge with a ball onto which compressed air is applied. Here, the elements are inclined in a way that each point of the upper or lower edge is touched by at least two balls.
